iWork ’11 launches February 19th according to Best Buy Mexico

A new page has been revealed on the Best Buy Mexico website that may shed light on the release date for Apple’s upcoming iWork refresh. According to the page, which has been pulled from Best Buy Mexico’s website, the company will be holding a launch event on February 19th to celebrate the arrival of iWork ’11. Apple has not yet announced a launch date for the new version of its iWork productivity suite, though this leak on the Best Buy Mexico site does line up well with earlier rumors. iWork competes with Microsoft’s Office suite and consists of Pages, Apple’s word processing application; Numbers, a spreadsheet app; and Keynote, a presentation tool akin to PowerPoint.

YEAH! There wasnt enough Apple news today, so I am really glad that BGR exists so we all can get our fill or every single bit of useless Apple news there is… Whew!!!

Like you I love DROID and hate crApple. But unlike you I am not constantly complaining about apple news. In fact you make all of us DROID fans look trashy. Please grow up.

He’s being realistic. At a certain point, politely requesting less irrelevant apple news doesn’t seem to work. You have to make sarcastic, pointed remarks to draw attention to the fact that nobody coming to BGR gives a damn about iWork.

They should seriously put a 5 article cap on Apple/iPhone/iPad/Irrelevant Apple Software articles per day. I’m tired of it too.

Why even bother? Google apps kicks iWork and microsoft office in the butt and now that it will be fully implemented in android the world will belong to google apps.

Meh. iWorks is indeed a joke, but google apps don’t even come close to touching MS Office. Nice for collaboration work though.

Depends on pricing. Oracle is pretty good for me. That and Google Docs. Both free and do more than enough for most users.
