BlackBerry Bold 9780 breaks cover in Vietnam

It seems like Vietnam is the new hotbed for cell phone activity these days. Today, site mainguyen.vn has published an extensive gallery of BlackBerry Bold 9780 images along with one 10-minute video. The site doesn’t really provide us with any additional details on the handset, but if you are anxiously awaiting its release, 17 hi-res images and a video can’t hurt your cause.     if its a 9700 with OS 6, thats the reason why webkit browser is on the slow end.

    Doesn’t seem like the actual 9780 though, otherwise browser should be quicker

      The browser in OS6 is slow because it still compresses thru the Blackberry Servers, not because of the hardware it is currently running on.

      I switched from a HTC Tilt to BB Bold 9000 and never missed the touch features, BB may not have the multimedia prowess of the phones of today, but among the things it does have it does very well. It’s important to know that the people on here are not the ‘masses of people’ out there nor represent a majority.

      Think ab. the Toyota Camry, not the most exciting car at all, nor good looking, but it is one of the top selling cars year after year b/c it is a practical all rounder. For someone that primarily use a phone for texting and emailing, and occasional web surfing, the smaller screen suffices and the physical keyboard is a godsend. I know that touch is the future etc etc, but there is still a big market out there for this, and RIM continue to post record earnings quarter after quarter…

      wtf do you know? you sound like a kid who gets stupid pointless apps and plays video games all day. get your android get your over-rated iPhone, be like every other non-original person. “ohhh can your phone do this, look what mine can do” OK every pointless thing imaginable, then when you really NEED a phone to actually call or text someone your f***ing battery is dead!
