AT&T spends over $3.5 billion on network in first six months of 2010

General

You can say what you want about the quality of AT&T’s network — and we know you will — but at least they are trying. In a barrage of press releases this morning, AT&T announced that it has spent over $3.5 billion on its network during the first six months of 2010. Some of the investments include $1.1 billion in California, $350 million in Illinois, $275 million in New York City, $225 million in New York, and $200 million in Alabama, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Anyone out there seeing improved AT&T coverage as a result of the investment?

AT&T has sucked balls in my area for the better part of the last decade. I have friends who still curse themselves with that junk wireless coverage and it has not gotten any better.

I have full, 100% signal in GA now. Can’t say the same this time last year.

The network here in Tuscaloosa, AL isn’t much better unless you’re near all the mobile towers they tossed around that damned stadium. But even that doesn’t guarantee a successful call.

AT&T sucks and I don’t know how and on what they spend 1.1 billion in California because I don’t get any bars in my house in Newport beach ….. Even the new iPhone 4 didn’t help….. Oh I wish I had waiting for the verizon iPhone because now I am stuck for 2 more years of horrible (NO service) with money wasting AT&T maybe they can produce and waste money on more stupid commercials about the ability to make a phone from a deserted island….who the F cares….. Did I mention AT&T sucks….? Just want google pick up these keywords and make sure it comes on the first page when people search AT&T ……. Oh maybe I should buy a $150 device so I can help AT&T take the pressure of their network………AT&T sucks terrible service, no reception, 99% drop call guarantee

no bars in your house is reason to get out of your contract……Im pretty sure verizon has that exception see if att does. Someone does

HUGE improvement in East TN! I’ve got 3G coverage pretty much everywhere I go now.

Still extremely poor reception inside the office buildings in SF. 95% no data coverage, just GSM, unless you sit an inch away from the windows. Mostly dropped calls while commuting at the bay bridge as well. My colleagues with VZ and Sprint gets 5 bars even in the center of the building where AT&T just basically ZERO bars, and tell ya what, NO calls were dropped. $1.1B in Calif?… ya mean out in the boonies near the valley?

They put up a cell tower 2 minutes from my house, now they are the only network to work in my town (Sutton, MA). My sis who lives across town has verizon and calls drop all the time so she only uses a landline when at home, can’t even text. I can’t believe I’m saying this but @attsuceed…kinda…
    LOL XD
