Palm Pre Launch Party for Sprint Premier Customers

News

This morning Sprint announced that the highly anticipated Palm Pre will be launched on June 6 for $199.99 with MIR after a two-year contract. Just now we got word that a special launch party will be hosted by Sprint for the coming handset, which arrives at retail stores the very next day. If you’re a Sprint Premier customer and you’re in the Los Angeles area, be sure to register and catch all the action! You know how these events usually are: lots of celebs, live music, drinks and of course, the guest of honor, the Palm Pre. If that’s not enough to get you going, you’ll be able to grab a Palm Pre a day before everyone else by purchasing one at the event! Let us know if you’re going — it’s being held at a Sprint store, so space is limited.

Thanks, Cory!

I was not invited…YET – to this event, but I was only a Sprint customer 2 weeks before I was invited to get the Instinct days before it was even released… So Im likely on a list for this, that is, if it also takes place in San Francisco!

I’ll probably check out the Atlanta party as well. If the Pre is a fail, and Sprint can’t deliver an Android device by the end of the year, I’m done with them.

What’s the big deal with this thing? This phone looks so corny and cheap!

3 Phones Jugglin, I’m trying to figure out why this site isn’t pumping news about the Touch Pro 2. They were all over the T Mobile suspected launch, which looks to be around the same time

i spoke with a rep at radio shack and he told me the pre would be $30 out the door with my $150 upgrade!!! they’ll be doin instantrebates which makes the pre 199, 150 off that makes it 49 and maybe a 20 dollar discount for buying at radio shack makes it 29.99!!

I’m a sprint premier customer and I haven’t gotten anything. I did get something in the mail yesterday but no mention of this.

    @Robert:
Um, no, I don’t think so. The $199 price includes the $150 off. Doesn’t it?

most of these comments bashing are fanboys who don’t even know how groundbreaking the device really is. I’ve had crackberrys your wack iphones (which barely got video) and the storm (which they can’t approve an os update for) For starters the Pre will be one 1ST smart phone that I’ve ever held that can render flash images. so when you HATERS can find a blackberry or a iphone that can handle adobe flash. ill be at that party..but I doubt it so on june 6th ill be there with my pre and tons of d list celebs!!! keep hating maybe you’ll get a life somewhere along with iphone with worthless apps geez….

    @ veks,

I don’t know how Robert’s $150 discount works, but I do know that the standard rebate is $100. So if Robert’s $150 off works then he will be paying $150 at most after rebate.

^my bad i meant to say “@ Darknight” not “@ veks”

I’m a premier customer how do I get this invitation

  • jermaine

I live in small city in north carolina and I confirmed they’re having this party how do I get in?

  • Arnulfo

What do they mean register?!?!? I’m a SP customer and i singed up to hear about the release date[is that what they mean by register]? Will they e-mail me with the location of this suppose party? Any help!!

To those wondering. The e-mail invitation to the June 5th Sprint Pre Launch party, at which time SP members can actually buy the Pre, was only e-mailed to select SP members. I really don’t know what the selection requirements were. I know other SP members that have been Sprint customers as long as I have(from the begining) but did not receive the e-mail invite to the launch party. I received the e-mail on 05/19 around 4pm pacific. E-mail instructs you to register via a link and to wait for an e-mail confirmation.

I spoke with Sprint on friday. They stated that it was never their intention to send the invite to only a few sprint premier members. They told me they were looking in to it.
