Verizon Wireless consolidates social networking sites with SocialLife

Services

If you’re so social (or lonely, for that matter) that you are registered on several social networking sites, Verizon has the app for you: SocialLife. The name is almost an oxymoron, really. Anyway, we digress… SocialLife is like the Trillian or Adium of social networking apps where several of your favorite, or less popular sites are consolidated onto one app. It makes it a lot easier for you to check messages, notes,  photos, comments, and all that jazz when you can do it on one program instead of several. If not just for MySpace, you also get AsianAve, BlackPlanet, FaithBase, GLEE, LiveJournal, MiGente, Photobucket, Rabble and MTV Tr3s (what, no Facebook?). Anyone actually use those sites? LiveJournal? Really?! That’s sooooo 2005. For just $1.49 a month, you can get access to this application and that’s not so bad – if most of your social life is spent on networking sites.

No Facebook = Lame. Way to make an effort, but not enough of one.

Not that this even pertains to me as I don’t have Verizon nor a dumbphone, but still. Thank goodness for Blackberry Facebook app and soon MySpace one…

A waste of $1.49 if you ask me… Other than Myspace and Photobucket, I’ve never even heard of those other sites. C’mon VZW!

@ justme although i dont agree completely with antman i would like to say that peoples dependence on facebook and the need to check if someone friend requested them or sent them a message every second is extremely sad.
