When Samsung unveils the Galaxy S7 in the near future, it won’t have a lot of surprises to offer. uSwitch Tech has uploaded a YouTube video that shows us some leaked 3D renders of the Galaxy S7 and they give us a closeup look at a device that looks to be thicker than last year’s Galaxy S6 — and hopefully that means a bigger battery as well.

As you can see in the video below, which was given to uSwitch by Steve “@OnLeaks” Hemmerstoffer of NoWhereElse.fr, the device looks pretty similar to the Galaxy S6, although its camera seems to protrude less and it looks like it has a thicker body. Other than that, though, it looks like Samsung is going with the same basic design and glass-and-aluminum body that was so attractive in the Galaxy S6 last year:
uSwitch says that the device will measure in at 7.9 millimeters thick whereas the Galaxy S6 came in at 6.9 millimeters thick. Why is the new device a full millimeter thicker than last year’s? Many Android users are probably hoping it’s because the device packs more battery power and recent leaks have claimed that the S7 will feature a 3000mAh battery, which is a jump up from the S6’s 2550mAh battery.
