There were quite a few problems with last year’s HTC One M9 but one of the biggest was an issued that has dogged flagship HTC phones for years now: Namely, the quality of its camera. Even as the cameras on phones from Apple, Samsung and LG have improved by leaps and bounds over the past three years, HTC phones’ flagship cameras have always remained subpar. That said, HTC is vowing to address this criticism and deliver a knock-out camera when it launches the HTC One M10 later this year.

“We can confidently say that HTC will have a very, very compelling camera experience,” HTC CFO Chialin Chang told CNET this week at Mobile World Congress. “We’re making this comment after we’ve seen what’s going on in the market.”
Neither Chang nor HTC CEO Cher Wang would get into details about the new camera so it’s definitely a good idea to be skeptical of such claims until we actually get to see the camera in action live.
Earlier leaks have claimed the HTC One 10 will feature a 5.1-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM and a “12-UltraPixel resolution and laser-assisted autofocus.”
