Recent reports suggest that Samsung’s new Galaxy S8 smartphone might not be released until March or even April next year, but rumors surrounding the hot new flagship handset are already starting to heat up. On Thursday, we told you about the five biggest changes that Samsung fans can expect to see on the company’s next-generation Galaxy S devices, and several of those changes involved the phone’s new design. Of course, reading about these hot new changes is one thing and seeing them visualized is another.

We have covered creations by graphic designer and YouTuber Veniamin Geskin a few times before here on BGR. The most notable among them, perhaps, was the gorgeous all-screen iPhone 8 he mocked up back in November as rumors of Apple’s bold next-generation iPhone redesign really started to heat up. But today, we turn our attention away from the iPhone 8 and toward Samsung’s upcoming new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8. Why. Because the more we hear about Samsung’s next-gen phones, the more it seems like a pair of Galaxy S8 concept mockups Geskin created in October and November might turn out to be surprisingly accurate.

On Thursday, Bloomberg reiterated earlier reports that Samsung’s new Galaxy S8 lineup will feature a new design that will see the handset’s display occupy a much larger portion of the phones’ faces. As was the case in 2016, we’re expecting Samsung to launch a smaller Galaxy S8 model alongside a larger Galaxy S8 phablet. Next year, however, both new models will seemingly get displays that curve on both sides.

Just like we’re expecting to see on the iPhone 8, Samsung’s Galaxy S8 will likely ditch the home button and embed the fingerprint scanner beneath the screen. That sounds cool and all, but what will it actually look like? We won’t know for sure until Samsung unveils its new Galaxy S8 smartphones in February, but something tells us that the mockup above from Geskin and the second one below that he posted on Twitter last month will end up being a very good representation.
