Apple is reportedly going to introduce various iPhone programs in its stores meant to deal specifically with broken displays, according to a new report. Not only is the company looking to accept broken iPhones in its upgrade program, but it’ll also install screen protectors for customers looking to add such protection to their displays.

The news is not official yet, but 9to5Mac’s highly accurate Mark Gurman reports that Apple is currently toying with such new ideas.

Apparently, starting this week, the program will allow Apple Store to give credit for iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus with damaged displays, cameras and buttons “within reason.” The program should convince customers to go for a new iPhone rather than getting a screen repair.

According to sources, the current trade-in values for broken devices sits at $50 for iPhone 5s, $200 for iPhone 6, and $250 for iPhone 6 Plus.

More interesting is Apple’s rumored plastic screen protector installation program. Apple rolled out the program in select stores on Thursday, 9to5Mac reports, partnering up with at least one screen protector maker – Belkin.

Dedicated screen protector installation machines will be installed in the back of stores, and install the screens on customer iPhones.

A video demo of the process follows below.
