Samsung did an excellent job of keeping leaked pictures of the Galaxy S5 under wraps but the same hasn’t been true of the Galaxy F, its upcoming “premium” smartphone that we expect to launch alongside the Galaxy Note 4 this September. @evleaks has posted another leaked picture of the device that gives us a full view of the device from up front.
From the front, this really does look just like your standard Samsung flagship phone. However, you can see on the edges a metallic gold frame that’s part of the new metal casing that Samsung is using for the Galaxy F. Earlier leaked pictures have given us a look at both the front and back of the device where we can clearly see that Samsung has ditched the dimpled plastic of the Galaxy S5 in favor of more high-end materials.
In a related leak, PhoneArena has posted a leaked picture that shows the Galaxy F side-by-side with the Galaxy S5 that gives us a better feel for some of the subtle but important differences between the two devices.
As you can see, Samsung has significantly slimmed the side bezels on the Galaxy F and has also shrunk the home button to make more room for the display. All told, this is shaping up to be the best-looking Samsung smartphone that we’ve ever seen.
Rumored specs for the Galaxy F include a 5.3-inch quad-HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, LTE-Advanced support, microSD support and Android 4.4.3 KitKat.
