Despite the large number of leaks and rumors revealing potential specs and features for the Galaxy S5, images showing the handset have not been published online. Instead, various Galaxy S5 concepts tried to imagine what Samsung’s next flagship handset will look like. SamMobile now points to a Galaxy S5 render created by Move Player, a Korean website that offered similar renders for other unreleased Samsung mobile devices in the past that have turned out to be accurate.
Move Player proposes a Galaxy S5 that has rather square corners instead of the round corners found on the previous two Galaxy S models, a new TouchWiz user interface in line with recent leaks, slimmer bezels and a smaller, yet still present, physical home button. However, even though it looks like a press render, the image is not coming from Samsung, and we’re still looking at a concept design. A few days ago a design sketch for the Galaxy S5 also hit the web, suggesting similar design features including slimmer bezels and a home button, and offering purported dimensions for the handset.
Speaking about Galaxy S5 design with the press, Samsung said in previous interviews that the new handset will offer new design lines compared with previous models, acknowledging that the Galaxy S4 looked too much like the Galaxy S3, which spurred some criticism from fans last year.
The Galaxy S5 will be unveiled at MWC 2014, during a special Samsung event scheduled for February 24.
