The popular 1Password is a great password manager for various devices, including iOS smartphones and tablets. And the best news is that the app will get even better once iOS 8 arrives, as Agile Bits plans to take advantage of Apple’s extension feature in iOS 8 to make 1Password work even easier and faster than before. In short, in iOS 8 users will be able to log into their favorite services without having to copy paste information from 1Password, as long as those apps support the password manager’s extension.
FROM EARLIER: This is one iOS 8 feature you’ll absolutely love
While 1Password is not available as a free download on iOS, users who are looking to buy the iOS 8 version of the app should know that the company announced the update to iOS 8 will be free to all existing 1Password owners.
Furthermore, those iOS device users who have not purchased the application yet can buy it for 40% off the regular price, or just $9.99 right now.
The company decided to discount 1Password following the recent disturbing report that revealed a group of Russian hackers managed to collect more than 1.2 billion unique login credentials.
“The good news: strong, unique passwords for all your sites are still your best defense. If shady individuals nab one or even more of your accounts, 1Password’s unique passwords prevent them from using that information to break into all your accounts,” the company wrote.
Additionally, the iOS application for Mac has also been discounted for 30%, and currently costs $34.99 in the Mac App Store.
