Apple may hold its annual Worldwide Developer Conference event from June 5th through June 9th this year in San Francisco, according to a report on Monday. Italian blog Setteb.it has uncovered a placeholder in the event schedule for the Moscone Center convention hall — home of Apple’s WWDC show — that certainly fits the bill. Designated by “Corporate Meeting,” the mysterious event falls in the appropriate time frame for Apple’s annual event and no other listing on the schedule would work for WWDC. Apple is expected to announce its next-generation iPhone at WWDC 2011, which should go on sale later in the month or in early July. The company will also likely show off the next major version of the iOS platform.
