As of last night, the premiere episode of Westworld is streaming free on HBO’s website. You don’t need any proof of a cable subscription or to sign up for a trial of HBO NOW. All you have to do is provide your date of birth and you’re email address, and the episode will begin streaming in your browser.
“The one-hour drama series Westworld is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin,” HBO explains. “Set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, it explores a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.”
There will be ten episodes in the show’s first season, with the second episode scheduled to air on Sunday, October 9th at 9PM ET.
If you’re still struggling to decide whether or not the first episode of Westworld is worth 68 minutes of your time, maybe the opening credits will put you over the edge:
