In 2016, you’re going to be hard-pressed to see a movie in theaters without any visual effects. Whether you’re watching 10 Cloverfield Lane, Captain America: Civil War, Star Trek Beyond or Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, there’s no avoiding the fact that most movies nowadays rely heavily on CGI.

But that doesn’t meant they’re always going to look great.

In a recent video, WhatCulture explores ten of the worst CGI moments in recent history, all from big budget movies. You’ll probably be privy to most all of these, but there’s a decent chance you haven’t seen any of them for several years.

For example, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King might have won an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects in 2013, but it’s hard not to cringe when watching Legolas take down a Middle-earth elephant 13 years later.

It just doesn’t stand the test of time, but even worse are the CGI models that take the place of actual actors during the course of action movies. Neo’s fight with all the Agent Smiths was meant to be one of the highlights of Matrix Reloaded, but seeing the weird, rubbery model of Neo flail around through the fight kind of takes you out of the experience.

Those are just a few example, but you can see the rest in the video below:
