Guess what, Nintendo Switch fans: the day you’ve been waiting for has finally arrived. Mario… Kart… 8… Deluxe! That’s right, the game we’ve all been waiting for has finally been released, and it’s available immediately for purchase online and in stores. If you paid attention to our earlier coverage, you probably pre-ordered the game on Amazon and saved money in the process. If you didn’t pay attention though, don’t worry because you actually still have time to save!
While Amazon typically ends its Prime promotions once a game is released, the site is still offering a 20% discount on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe purchases for the Nintendo Switch. There are two catches, however. First, you’ll obviously need to be a Prime subscriber to get the discount. Second, you’ll have to wait until next week to get the game — as of the time of this writing, new orders will ship in two days on Sunday. Of course, you can always just pay full price and get the digital download right now.
Here are some highlights from the product page:
- Hit the road with the definitive version of Mario Kart 8 and play anytime, anywhere! Race your friends or battle them in a revised battle mode on new and returning battle courses.
- Play locally in up to 4-player multiplayer in 1080p while playing in TV Mode. Every track from the Wii U version, including DLC, makes a glorious return.
- Plus, the Inklings appear as all-new guest characters, along with returning favorites, such as King Boo, Dry Bones, and Bowser Jr.!
And here’s the digital download if you want it right now and you don’t mind paying full price:
