Apple earlier today released the third public beta of iOS to the public. The release comes just about two weeks after Apple released the second public beta. Whereas the second public beta featured some enhanced 3D touch functionality and a number of other minor tweaks and fixes, the most recent iteration of iOS 10 packs in a new emoji lineup, new keyboard sounds and more. But by and large, not much else has changed.

For anyone interested in checking out Apple’s next-gen mobile OS a good few weeks before its officially released out into the wild, individuals can sign up for Apple’s beta program over here.
iOS 10 is slated for a release alongside the upcoming iPhone 7, which means that we’ll likely see iOS 10 become widely available sometime before September 16. For those who happened to miss all of the hype of WWDC this year, iOS 10 packs a number of intriguing new features and enhancements, including a completely revamped Messages app, a redesigned Apple Music app, and a more forward-thinking version of Photos.
As a final point of interest, listed below are all of the iPhone and iPad models that are compatible with iOS 10: Any iPhone model going back to the iPhone 5 will work with iOS 10, though to be fair, we don’t imagine many iPhone 4s users are still out there. As for the iPad, the following models are iOS 10 friendly: iPad 4th gen, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3 and the iPad mini 4
