If you’re still not convinced whether you should make the jump to Apple’s iPhone 6s, a brand new Best Buy deal might help convince you by getting you a brand new iPhone for just $1. But that killer price might not even be the best thing about purchasing your new iPhone at Best Buy — you might also end up saving some serious money on your cell phone bill each month.
DON’T MISS: 8 reasons I still can’t leave the iPhone and switch to Android
Beginning on Thursday and running through the end of the day on Sunday, Best Buy will give you a guaranteed $200 gift card when you trade in a working iPhone 5s or better and buy or lease an iPhone 6s with a two-year contract or a monthly installment plan on AT&T, Verizon or Sprint.
Of course, you might be better off paying the full price for the new iPhone and selling the old model yourself, but Best Buy’s offer is hassle-free.
Bu there’s another reason to check out Best Buy this weekend — the retailer could help you save an average of $35/month on your cell phone bill. Best Buy told BGR that last November it started using a tool it crafted to compare cell phone plans for customers, and has since determined that 50% of its customers were paying more than they needed to.
The company conducted an internal study from November 8th, 2015 through January 1st, 2016, concluding that customers who changed their plans based on Best Buy’s recommendation saved an average of $35 per month, and more than $3 million in total. Best Buy used its new software with more than one million customers since creating it.
The cell phone plan comparison tool isn’t available online for anyone to use. For the time being, it’s used in stores by Best Buy staff. So if you’re going to take advantage of that $1 iPhone 6s offer, which is available only in stores, you might as well try it out.
