At WWDC 2014, Apple revealed that it has been developing an OS X version of one of the default apps iPhone users probably use the most and the company has finally made it available to Mac owners. However, not all of them can download it just yet.
FROM EARLIER: iCloud’s Photos app has disappeared – that could be good or bad news for Mac users
The company on Thursday released the first-pre-release version of OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite to testers and developers that brings over a Photos app that has support for iCloud Photo Library, 9to5Mac reports,. The app should be available to all Mac users at some point this spring.
The Photos app will replace iPhoto application and it’ll allow users to manage photos their Macs in a similar fashion to what the iOS version of the app has to offer. Naturally, Mac users that also happen to own iPhones and/or iPads will further appreciate the move from iPhoto to Photos.
