iPhone and iPad users not happy with the amount of storage available on their iOS devices, and looking for an easy way of moving pictures and videos from the iPhone and iPad on the go without requiring access to a cloud or computer, should check out SanDisk’s iXpand Flash Drive for the iPhone and iPad.

FROM EARLIER: This might be one of the iOS storage bugs that’s preventing you from jumping to iOS 8

The device looks like a regular flash drive, but also comes with a Lightning port in addition to the USB port, allowing users to connect it to either a computer or an iPhone or iPad that has a Lighting port.

The iXpand Flash Drive comes in 16GB ($59.99), 32GB ($79.99) and 64GB ($119.99) versions, and can automatically copy the contents of your Camera Roll folder to the drive, thus helping you free up some storage, which may be required for other chores, such as upgrading the handset or tablet to iOS 8.

Additionally, the drive can store various video and music files, and play them back on an iPhone and iPad.

SanDisk says its new drive for iPhone and iPad is three times faster than other comparable devices, and can offer encryption and password protection.

A video showing the iXpand Flash Drive in action follows below, and more information about the device is available at the source link.
