We have plenty of great games to look forward to this fall, from console exclusives like Sunset Overdrive and Driveclub to huge third-party releases in the Call of Duty, Battlefield and Assassin’s Creed franchises, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get excited about 2015. And one 2015 release that quickly shot to the top of our most anticipated list after E3 this year was The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
CD Projekt Red is bringing the open-world RPG to the new generation. Filled with sprawling cities, diverse landscapes, dangerous foes and dozens of quests, The Witcher 3 should be enough to satiate Elder Scrolls fans for months.
In the 35+ minute gameplay video published on Tuesday, we are able to get a feel for the variety of acitivites Geralt of Rivia can take part in throughout the course of Wild Hunt. The video begins as Geralt is returning from a griffon hunt, the head of his prey rocking back and forth alongside his horse. As he enters the city, we see the populace going about their daily business — kids playing in the street, commoners gossiping about the latest news and merchants showing off their wares.
Geralt eventually finds the man who ordered the griffon to be slain in the first place and is quickly sent off on another quest. It’s an extensive look at the game, so if you were interested in combat, exploration, cutscenes, dialogue trees or anything else in the new game, this is the video to watch. Check it out below.
