iPhone 5 on schedule for summer launch?

Apple customers are just now getting the iPhone 4S into their hands, however, the company’s highly anticipated (and rumored) iPhone 5 may hit the market sooner than later. According to report from 9to5 Mac, Apple is on schedule to ship the iPhone 5 in the summer of 2012. Why didn’t Apple release it earlier, as rumored? CNET said in a recent story that Steve Jobs was heading up the iPhone 5 project, which was met with delays in February, while the iPhone 4S was developed by another team. The iPhone 5 production delays would have made a holiday deadline impossible. As such, Apple was forced to make the final decision to hold the iPhone 5 until kinks in the production line were ironed out. The iPhone 4S team moved forward and released the phone on schedule and in time for the holidays. Rumors still suggest the iPhone 5 will be thinner, lighter and will have a teardrop form factor.

    The 4S is the 5th generation iPhone. The next one will be 6, not 5. If you’re going to post more rumors,at least know which generation you are talking about.

    but putting a phone out every freaking month doesn’t make it the best..No anticipation No hype….that’s why android can’t out the iPhone ever….make people want the product…make people wait in huge lines…make people sleep out side to get the next future device in their hands and makes 100′s or Millions…Sure android got madd phones out…but still APPLE IPHONE is still Selling like free pancakes at ihop….EVERYBODY WANTS SOME AND MORE OF IT….Iphone 5 sure we all wanted it now…but in respect to Mr. Jobs this is the best way to do it…New iPhone coming in the summer thing…be real people you want one….

    The Phone business is never really going to die…and do remember just a few years ago we where all rocking cheap ass flip phones and most where windows phones…the operating system that was rocking is nothing now either…Another thing that i would like see happen is All Carriers are going to have to rearrange their Two Year contract deals..i mean how can people upgrade to a new phone if where all tied in to a freaking 2yr contract…..I believe that 1yr contracts are the best things upgrade and making them more money faster and letting people get the latest and greatest into their hands is the key thing right…So make it happen…
    i Had android phone for about 6 1/2 months and now i am Rocking my IPHONE 4S…..better apps and tons of New functions…works with everything…and makes everything that much easier for me as well…

    BGR is nothing but a bunch of TOOLS who think they can write and present any valuable information.  The iPhone 4s has been out only a matter of days and the editor is already jerking off to the concept of an iPhone 5.  Pathetic
