Fring testing group video chat on Android and iOS [video]

Software

Fring, the makers of the self-titled, cross-platform, mobile voice and video chat client, are beginning to dabble in group video chat. In a recent YouTube video, the company showcased its latest software build — currently in beta — running a group video chat session on iOS. The feature will allow up to four users to simultaneously connect, face-to-face in a Brady Bunch-like mosaic as seen above. The beta is currently accepting applicants, so if you think you’re worthy — or just love playing with new software — hit the jump, watch the video, and follow the read link to apply.

Yeah, I agree. But, you’ll have to do this via
Wi-Fi on [your] iPhone 4. Oo

      • Brian

        Thats only FaceTime

      • Joel

I can do FaceTime via 3G, troll.

      • Oo ooo….

Let me think…..Fring has always been available on 3G on iOS, even before Android. let’s not stop there but Fring, Skype, Tango, Qik and others all offered 3G video conferencing before Android with an exception of Qik. Get your facts straight and work on getting video conferencing on your EVO with Skype on 3G or wifi. With the exception of the 3G fallback FaceTime is the best anyway.

That’s awesome, if only NY had more reliable service where one could make those actual group chats over 3G or 4G without it dropping.
