Dragon Dictation adds speak to tweet to its repertoire of features

Software

Nuance has just released an updated version of its free Dragon Dictation application for the iPhone and iPad that brings typeless social networking to the iPhone OS and iOS-using masses. In addition to the previous SMS and email support, Dragon Dictation 2.0 now allows you to post to twitter or update your status on Facebook merely by speaking to your mobile device. The latest version also pastes your dictated text directly into the device’s clipboard and can auto-save text when a phone call interrupts your oh-so-important dictation. So Dragon Dictation users, rest those fingers and start talk tweeting… we all know how difficult it is to type 140 characters.

I can’t wait till true text to speech happens. I’m sure someday a computer will be able to understand my accent :D And most importantly, accurately!

Maybe when people say it out loud, they will see how silly most of their tweets are.

Apple needs to integrate the tech they acquired with Siri and then maybe scoop up Nuance to improve voice recognition…just my 2Â¥ lol

Speech-to-text is very cool technology (when it works correctly)… but ‘Tweeting’ ‘Twittering’ or Whatever the Hell It’s Called is Pretty Damned Annoying!

Sorry Nuance, I can’t hear what you’re saying until you learn to speak Android. iPhones don’t need utilities such as this. Apple customers don’t do anything.

Since when was the iPhone OS separate from iOS? I know I’m being nitpicky, but don’t make a distinction when there isn’t one.
