BlackBerry Curve 9300 images emerge

blackberry-curve-9300-1

Yesterday, the folks over at Crackberry got their hands on images of the BlackBerry Curve 9300; the heir apparent to the 8500 series. The divulged specs look like this: 320 x 240 display, 256 MB of RAM, Wi-Fi (b/g/n), optical trackpad and BlackBerry OS 5. The unit pictured is a GSM joint, although Crackberry assures its readers that a CDMA variant will emerge at some point. The phone has a rubberized back and side convenience keys — much like the current 8500 series — a full chrome bezel that wraps around the front, and the same keyboard as the 8900/85xx. A pretty obvious and evolutionary update to the best-selling Curve line. No word on the availability of this unit, although…one of our Verizon connects promised us a new Curve on Big Red by the end of summer. Any takers?

Well well..you BB fans must be wetting your Jockeys over this one. A whopping 256mb RAM???!? I may faint! That’s a ‘uge ‘uge amount!!!!! BB lemmings are easy to please. That’s why they are all handed BB to begin with. They’re employees and employees go a fetch your coffee and get your dry cleaning when you BBM them ‘Get my damn dry cleaning or your fired that’s why I got you a lousy BB to begin with, employee!’

Ummm, this is designed to be a low end device. You might want to settle down. I love clueless rants. I guess you haven’t noticed how well RIM has been doing with consumers globally…and how they are driving the elasticity curve of adoption with low end models in predominantly pre-paid markets. Not every model needs to compete with android or iPhone on specs.

Well, to be honest “Funky”, For blackberry’s to do what they do well enough with the little amount on RAM included really forces RIM to make their phones efficient which is why I think they do it. People go and say “i phone this” and ” android that”, well those devices should run flawlessly with the amount of on board memory included, but wait, they don’t. You are clearly one of those people who got an i phone and thinks they know what is going on with smart phones. news flash, you’re clueless.

Market saturation works for RIM. That’s why they keep doing it.
There’s always a ‘new’ blackberry. People like ‘new’ things.
Especially entry level, free with a ‘new’ contract things.
