Ok….now time for Big Red to annouce when they’re coming out with it…knowing them, they’ll probably annouce it the day before it’s released.

Good. Now Hesse can focus on his Favorite Toy…

So RIM decided to scrap the “Tour” name, add wi-fi, a trackpad and more memory and call it the “Bold”??

    Interesting….

    When is Verizon receiving it?

Verizon will be getting the Microsoft Kin1/Kin 2, Droid Incredible and the Blackberry Bold

    Meanwhile,
Sprint will be getting the Motorola i1, HTC Evo 4g, Nexus One (Sprint DID announce it) and the Blackberry Bold

    Interesting indeed….

  • TypicalVerizonDBAG

Verizon will be getting this in late June. It will be much better than the Sprint Version as well.

dbag hate to break it to you bu the Verizon version of the BOLD/tour2 will be exactly the same in size and in specs as the Sprint BOLD. only difference is the chrome frets on the Sprint will be black chrome on Verizon… dont get your hopes hi

      • American Patriot

Note to all trolls: if they put DBAG at the end of their user name it’s probably a good move to assume sarcasm is implied and they don’t honestly believe their comment.

    • Devon2000

Only difference it will have is the push-to-talk feature, which you will have to pay alot extra for that service, whoopty f#@king doo!!!!

  • Jerry Marcus

    Thank GOODNESS!!!!

  • grrr

Tuh tuh tuh t… oh wait, it’s a bold now. But I thought bolds were supposed to have leather battery covers?

  • 3 Phones Jugglin

Why all the Downrankings? Blackberry Lovers upset they have no devices to get excited about anymore?

How about a Landscape Qwerty Slider W/Touchscreen…and a New O.S. Otherwise….More downrankings i suppose. At least Dan is being aggressive with keeping the most up to date Blackberry devices in his line up…its the least he can do.

    Ba ba ba bold?

  • john

not bad i like it too bad it’s kinda obsolete now…

  • Dustin

I bet it doesn’t work when it comes out, just like the Tour. RIM = Fail.

The Verizon Bold/Tour2 will only be a slight improvement over over my current Tour. A track pad, Wi-Fi, slightly pepier processor and a 5megapixal camera for another $200 Benjamins. I don’t think so. Though I like my BB Tour it’s really, really mediocre, and will become my backup phone, and bedside alarm clock. I’m jumping ship for my already pre-ordered HTC Droid Incredible. I don’t think I need to explain myself. The pontoon boat or the speed boat for the same price……….Hmm?!?! Good day.

    • StevenGlansburg

      it’s only a 3.2 MP camera…like the old one

    • Garrenj

I would choose the pontoon boat… It might be slower, but you can throw a bigger party. However, I don’t know much about the droid… Im a BB guy and love it. Even with the flaws. Every phone has flaws, just look around on the net. BB’s are FAR more popular which is why you see a lot more complaints.

I read some where that Sprint was suppose to make it available BEFORE Big Red. Through the grapevine it now SEEMS Big Red will make it available week one of May. Now, lets see what happens with the 4G HTC ! I love when stuff like this happens.

  • rrt190

At least with the pontoon boat you’ll get the message that says “dam ahead” you might not get he mesage in time with the speed boat if at all.

  • Bo Liu

Man I was hoping they’d repackage the 9650 in a style more like the 9700 – more compact and less fake chrome. I was honestly looking forward to this release on Sprint as my contract is ending on 5/1. Now after almost 2 yrs, they trot out essentially a Tour Plus and has the nerve to ask $200 for it – sorry RIM, taking my business elsewhere.
