Reported shots of Sanyo SCP-2700 emerge, headed to Sprint

Rumor

What happens when you cross a blurrycam special with a complete lack of image editing skills? Behold, an appalling 8 bit-looking Photoshop job that reportedly depicts Sanyo’s upcoming new addition to the Sprint lineup. Of course we can understand why this Sprintusers forum member would be overly cautious but dude, seriously. Moving on, Sanyo’s upcoming offering allegedly sports a QWERTY keyboard, 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and integrated GPS — Palm Pre eat your heart out! Ok so it might not be the most impressive offering Sprint might issue this year, but text-hungry users seeking an affordable entry-level QWERTY handset will surely give the SCP-2700 a gander. For the time being, no release date or pricing info is available. Hit the jump for bigger shots.

    This is a good step for them, more needs to be done because Sprint/Palm/Sanyo are all on the downside with one good thing coming that has nothing to do with Sanyo

    Sanyo hopped out of the phone biz so this ‘prototype’ is a complete SHAM! You can tell that the upper half is part of a Palm Centro and the rest I don’t know where it comes from but it’s ugly.

    This is definitely NOT the case, as one hit our servers (UA and UA prof follow)during CTIA last week. Nothing in the .xml file manages to explain the raggedy anne battery case, however.

    @ox
    You’re wrong. This phone is legit and launches on Sprint this month.

    I just bought this phone and LOVE it! that picture does not do it justice at all. Believe me, this phone is boss.

    I just got this phone today and I agree with Shannon, the picture does not do it justice at all. In fact, it has a lot of features including GPS navigation and has amazing reception like someone on here said. The camera has really good quality and it is easy to handle. The picture on here looks like someone took it with an awful cell phone camera so that’s why it looks really shitty.

    I just ordered this from Sprint today. I REALLY wanted the Instinct, and can do my upgrade on 1 line this month, well I got on the phone to order, and I upgraded this phone to both lines (still free, at this site I found out why). I hope the reception is good, I guess the only downfall is the non-integration of social networking… I really wanted that in my next phone. I do have 30 days to try it, I will let you know what the results are!! Both of us can be picky!!
