The all new Pixel and Pixel XL mark the start of a fresh new chapter for Google where to company will design and release its own hardware products across a wide range of categories, competing directly with its own Android hardware partners like Samsung and LG. This marks a huge departure from Google’s initial strategy with Android, and we have a feeling this is just the beginning of a major strategic shift that will ripple across the entire industry.
