Google Maps is no longer just about helping you get to where you need to go, and with the latest update to the app for iOS, it will help you save both time and money. With this new update, you can also search for a type of business near you and Google Maps will not only tell you such businesses’ locations but also tell you what their most popular business hours are so you can avoid going there during crowded times if you want. So if you want to go to a restaurant at a given hour and beat the rush, you’ll know to get there at 6 p.m. instead of 8.pm., as you can see in the example below:
Google originally debuted these features on the Android version of its app earlier this year but now it’s gotten around to bringing them to iOS. While iOS users may be using Apple Maps more than Google’s service, it’s hard to argue that Apple Maps has Google Maps beat in terms of useful features.
