One of the major points of contention between Xbox One and PS4 owners is the purported difference in visual quality between multiplatform releases. Before the consoles even launched, rumors were already swirling in regards to a lower native resolution for Call of Duty: Ghosts on the Xbox One, and now one of the most prominent developers in the world is stirring the pot once again. According to Game Informer magazine, Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, says that Metal Gear Solid V looks better on the PlayStation 4 than the Xbox One.

Konami, the publisher of the title, could not confirm to VideoGamer whether or not the game will run at different resolutions on the two consoles, but Game Informer’s coverage does seem to indicate that there will be some noticeable differences. Keep an eye out on March 21st, when the prequel, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes releases to the public. It won’t be long before gamers have picked apart both versions of the game in order to discover the truth.
