A new ninja has sent us in a tip stating that Verizon Wireless will begin offering pre-paid mobile users the ability to sign up for BlackBerry voice and data plans. The Verizon memo looks like this:

Release Date 8/22/10

RT 802616 – Prepay 3G Pricing & Devices
Systems Impacted: EROES (internal & external)

Overview:  Enables 3G & Blackberry devices with an email and web plan feature/bundle to be supported on Prepay. Prepaid customers will be billed for data similar to postpaid – i.e. mandatory data plan requirements for prepaid customers. (only pulls up monthly plans, brochure view)

RT 800992 RIM Blackberry – PREPAID
Systems Impacted: EROES (internal & external)

Overview:  Enable the offering of a Blackberry device and a email and web plan feature/bundle for Prepay customers  (defaults to monthly plans , brochure view)

It appears as though a $30 BlackBerry data plan will be mandatory just as it is for post-paid customers. We’re interested to know what hardware will be available and how it will be priced. We’ve reached out to Verizon Wireless for comment and will update the post when we hear back.

Thanks, S Mag ( I_M_Possible ) & Blu3live!

UPDATE: We’ve been given a copy of another Verizon pre-paid BlackBerry document. It’s ready for you after the break.
