Popular iOS game Dots, a puzzle game that offers a very addictive gameplay, now has an even more interesting sequel that will let players enjoy a story-based game experience, making the game less about competing for a high score and more about enjoying a more immersive experience.
“Join two brave dots as they traverse arctic tundras, navigate fiery jungles, and plunge the ocean depths. Sharpen your skills across 85 challenging levels while uncovering many exciting new features along the way,” Betaworks writes in the game’s description inside the App Store
TwoDots packs 85 levels in which the player will have to achieve various goals in order to move to the next challenge. While the gameplay is still consistent with the first Dots game – players still have to connect two or more dots of the same color to remove them from the board – it’s overall an entirely new experience. In addition to connecting dots, you get to “sink anchors, make bombs, extinguish flames,” and enjoy “beautiful minimalistic design and relaxing game music.”
The game is optimized for both iPhone and iPad and is already available as a free download from iTunes. For what it’s worth, TwoDots does come with in-app purchases, but they can be disabled from inside the game, and shouldn’t affect the overall gameplay too much. Failing a level costs one life from the five available lives, with each lost life being restored in 20 minutes, unless the player purchases it back.
