After months of anticipation following one of the most exciting E3 press conferences we’ve ever attended, EA and DICE are ready to show off the first gameplay from Star Wars Battlefront, which is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 17th.
DON’T MISS: The second trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens just came out – watch it here now!
The trailer premiered on Friday, the second day of Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California. The footage in the trailer is relatively limited, but members of the press were able to attend a longer demo session in order to get a better feel for DICE’s reboot of the Battlefront franchise.
According to Game Informer, Battlefront will feature battles of up to 40 players, familiar locales like Hoth and Tatooine, the ability to switch between first- and third-person views on the fly and power-ups which will let players take control of an iconic character from the franchise, or even board a vehicle such as an AT-ST or an X-Wing.
There will also be a single-player mode called Battlefront Missions, which appear to be similar to the original games in which players complete objectives across the same maps that appear in the multiplayer modes.
