A year ago, when Samsung was still scrapping to make itself a household name for smartphones, it had an obsession with bashing both Apple and its fans. But now that the company has established itself as a major player in the smartphone market, it has significantly toned down its Apple bashing to the point where its rival’s products are barely mentioned in the latest ad for its flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone. In the ad, Samsung shows off several of the Galaxy S4’s features, including the ability to share photos instantly via NFC and the ability to use the smartphone as a TV remote control, while frustrated iPhone users look on with envy. But despite these minor swipes at the iPhone, the ad mostly keeps its focus on the Galaxy S4 and the boatload of storage-clogging new features that Samsung has preloaded onto the device.
