Many people charge their smartphones every night because most handsets can’t yet offer the battery life we expect. And many tablet users also charge their devices at night as well, which is the most convenient time to do it anyway since they might want to simultaneously use it for some quick content consumption before sleep. But using the device while it’s plugged in and charging, whether it’s a smartphone or a tablet, might be a seriously annoying endeavor because charging cables are usually rather short.
FROM EARLIER: This tiny smartphone charger might be exactly what we’ve been waiting for
For all these reasons, Native Union, the company that came up with the extremely popular Jump Cable 2-in-1 cable and battery solution earlier this year, created the Night Cable.
The accessory has a generous cord (10 feet or 3m long) that ensures you can comfortably use your chosen mobile device in bed before going to sleep while it’s already charging. Furthermore, the Night Cable also has a neat movable weighted knot that can keep the cable in position on any flat surface, such as your night stand, as you left it in the morning.
The accessory comes in two versions, either with a Lightning connector for iOS devices or micro USB head for Android (and other) gadgets. Either version costs $39.99, with the iPhone model available in three colors, and the micro USB model available in one color option.
