The Nexus 9 is expected to launch next week alongside Google’s latest Android OS version, and Bright Side of News, which first found confirmation that NVIDIA will provide chips for Google’s HTC-made Nexus 9 tablet, is back with more details about the tablet’s release date and pricing.

FROM EARLIER: New leak might be our first look at the HTC Nexus 9

The Nexus 9 is said to be available for preorder beginning on October 15th from the Google Play Store — the same day the device should be unveiled — and it will then supposedly launch on November 3rd in various U.S. stores. Google is reportedly partnering with even more electronics retailers this year for its new Nexus tablet, to make it available to as many consumers as possible.

The starting price for the Nexus 9 should be $399, according to the publication, as the high-end Nexus tablet is expected to be significantly more expensive than last year’s Nexus 7 model. That’s likely the cost of a Wi-Fi-only device, and it’s in line with what previous reports have suggested, although pricing for an LTE version isn’t available at this time.

Previous reports have also indicated that the Nexus 9 and Android L, as well as other Android products, will be announced on October 15th, but Google is yet to confirm anything.

Interestingly, Apple will unveil its new iPads also next week during a special media event scheduled to take place on October 16th.
