We’ve seen it in photos, we’ve seen it in videos, and beginning sometime in October we’ll finally see the new Nexus 5 on the virtual shelves of Google’s Play store. Following earlier reports that pointed to a late October release for Google’s next “pure Google” phone, Digitimes on Wednesday cited anonymous Taiwan-based component makers in claiming that Google’s Nexus 5 will indeed be released sometime in October. The site adds that LG will build the phone, it will run Android 4.4 KitKat and it’ll be priced to compete with mid-range smartphones. With rumored specs that include a 5-inch display, a 13-megapixel camera, 2GB or 3GB of RAM and a 2,700 mAh battery, a mid-range price tag could make the new Nexus 5 tough to resist.
