At the reveal event on Wednesday, Apple said that “the only thing that’s changed is everything” when it comes to the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The new phones are loaded with fascinating new features like 3D Touch and the most impressive specifications of any iPhone every made, but the Galaxy S6 is no slouch.

As you can see, from a technical standpoint, the S6 outclasses the 6s in nearly every category, with an additional gigabyte of RAM, higher pixel density, a better camera and slightly faster CPU speed. It’s really not even a competition, but with every incremental upgrade, the iPhone continues to outsell Samsung’s best and brightest devices.

If you’re looking for raw power, there’s no question that the Galaxy S6 (or perhaps even the Galaxy Note 5) is the better choice, but at the end of the day, it comes down to which operating system you prefer.

Very few iOS users are going to ditch this year’s model just because it didn’t match up with the S6. That said, there might be some dissatisfied Android users — sick of the fragmentation and the overabundance of choice — who decide to finally give the iPhone a shot. And that’s not just an assumption — we have one such individual on our own team.
