Although there is a heated discussion regarding the exact release date, Apple’s next iPhone is certainly launching some time this year. The more interesting speculation surrounds the issue of whether or not the company will bring two phones to the market for the second year in a row. According to Nikkei, both the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models of the iPhone 6 will indeed be launching in fall of 2014, “slated to debut worldwide as soon as September.” Nikkei’s sources say that manufacturers have already started working on fingerprint sensors and chips for liquid-crystal drivers for the new phones, and mass production of LCD panels should start in the next quarter at several facilities around the globe.
