Contrary to numerous earlier reports, iPhone 5c sales seem to be picking up in the United States — but the device’s impact on emerging markets is still somewhat muted, according to new research from Localytics. Overall, the firm found that there are now roughly 1.9 iPhone 5s models in use in the United States for every iPhone 5c model. While this still means that the 5s is outselling the cheaper 5c in the U.S. by a ratio of nearly 2 to 1, it’s a vast improvement from where things stood a month ago when the 5s was outselling the 5c by 3 to 1. The ratio of 5s models to 5c models is higher in the rest of the world, however, as Localytics estimates that there are 2.3 iPhone 5s models sold for every iPhone 5c worldwide.
Are iPhone 5c sales actually gaining on the iPhone 5s?
