Apple is gearing up for what will be the biggest consumer electronics launch of all time by all accounts, and the iPhone 5 will be Apple’s most successful iPhone yet at the very least. Months worth of rumors, parts leaks, photos and videos point to a 4-inch display, 4G LTE, twice the RAM and a brand new thinner design, but Apple could certainly have a few surprises in store — like a brand new A6 processor, perhaps.

Apple’s press conference kicks off at 1:00 p.m. EDT, 10:00 a.m. PDT and on top of the iPhone we’ll likely see some new iPods as well as the final feature-complete version of the company’s iOS 6 software. Apple might not have invented anything, but this latest recipe is shaping up to be its most impressive to date.
