The oversized tablet features a 12.9-inch display with the highest resolution of any iOS device, nearly twice the CPU performance of the iPad Air 2 and a reworked Multi-Touch system to better handle multitasking.
With such powerful hardware, you can expect to pay a little more for the iPad Pro than its more portable counterparts. The 32GB Wi-Fi model will retail for $799, the 128GB Wi-Fi model costs $949 and the LTE-enabled 128GB model will run customers $1,079. As with other iOS devices, the iPad Pro will be available in gold, silver and space gray.
Apple also announced that the iPad Pro accessories will go on sale this week, with the Apple Pencil set at $99 and the Apple Smart Keyboard coming in at $169.
