Unless something truly shocking and unexpected happens between now and the end of the year (like Samsung actually releasing a sleek premium metal phone), the All New HTC One unveiled next week during HTC’s big press conference will probably be the most gorgeous Android smartphone that debuts this year. It shouldn’t terribly surprising, considering last year’s flagship HTC One smartphone was the best-designed phone of the year in 2013. We have seen the new model’s hardware leak a number of times and it looks terrific, but now a fresh new leak may give us a thorough walkthrough of the upcoming handset’s software as well.

First posted by YouTube user “JonasG” and subsequently deleted, the video apparently gives viewers a good look at Sense 6, HTC’s updated software layer built on top of Android 4.4.2 KitKat. While the original video was removed, several copies have been uploaded by other YouTube users.

The 3:30 video shows that HTC’s updated Sense 6 software looks and performs much like earlier versions, but there are a few key enhancements shown in the video such as new themes and a “double-tap-to-wake” feature similar to what LG offers on its phones.

The video also suggests HTC’s new One will include a microSD card slot, which was sorely missed by many users on the original model.

According to previous leaks, the 2014 edition of the HTC One features cutting-edge specs and performance that crushes competing smartphones. Highlights include a 5-inch full HD display, a quad-core 2.3GHz Snapdragon processor, two rear cameras with support for 3D photo and video capture, a dual-LED flash and upgraded BoomSound speakers.

HTC will unveil the new HTC One during a press conference on March 25th where BGR will be reporting live.

The leaked video is embedded below.
