Confirmed: Apple notebook event Tuesday October 14

Well, it looks like those who have been skeptical with regards to a new breed of Apple laptops coming next week are now silenced. Whether or not the flurry of leaked Brick images are real, Apple has indeed sent out a round of press invites to a special Town Hall event that will be held in San Francisco on Tuesday, October 14. “The spotlight turns to notebooks,” as stated in the invitation, pretty much eliminates any mystery as to the subject of next Tuesday’s event and solidifies the rumor that a refresh is coming. Will the new MacBook cases be constructed of aluminum like the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air? Will a new fourth Apple notebook model be introduced? Will we really see an entry price point of $800? Will Jobs have gained some weight back? Will the phrase “my Mac is bricked” no longer have a negative connotation? We shall see…
