By shamelessly stealing the app switcher interface from webOS — the mobile operating system Palm created, HP murdered and LG revived as a TV platform — Apple gave its iOS multitasking interface a much-needed overhaul. As is often the case, however, a creative developer working outside of Apple’s third-party app development restrictions has built an amazing iOS 7 multitasking interface that blows Apple’s efforts out of the water.

Mobile platform makers like Apple have to walk a fine line between features and power management, striking a balance between the two that introduces new functionality while ensuring that battery life isn’t compromised.

Third-party developers making various jailbreak tweaks for the iPhone and iPad, however, have no such worries.

As we covered earlier here on BGR, a new jailbreak tweak called Auxo 2 was just released in the Cydia app store. The app is a complete reimagining of Apple’s iOS 7 multitasking interface that integrates Apple’s Control Panel into the multitasking UI. This is hardly the Control Panel we’re used to though, and it features a big design overhaul and all new functionality.

But seeing is believing.

There are a number of good video walkthroughs that show off Auxo 2, and two of the best we have found thus far from YouTube users iCrackUriDevice and myjailbreakmovies. Both videos are embedded below.

Auxo 2 is available immediately in Cydia for $3.99, or $1.99 for users upgrading from the original version of Auxo.
