If you’re one of the estimated 1 million people who preordered an Apple Watch over the past few days, there’s a good chance that you’re bummed out because Apple told you that you likely won’t be getting your watch delivered until June or later. However, MacRumors is reporting that Apple actually expects those projected wait times to get much better, which means you’ll likely get your device earlier than you initially expected.

FROM EARLIER: Once you’ve tried on an Apple Watch you’re very likely to buy it

Essentially, a MacRumors reader named Andrew Turko contacted Apple execs over the weekend and expressed concerns about how many buyers aren’t expected to get their watches for several months despite the fact that the device’s “release date” is officially set for April 24th.

“There are a lot of buyers who are facing delivery times than span into June, July, and August, but Apple believes that some of these orders could ship out earlier than their estimated shipping dates,” MacRumors writes. “The Apple executive team member that spoke to Andrew referenced long wait times for earlier devices like the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, noting that shipping estimates were often much longer than actual wait times and suggesting that the same thing might happen with the Apple Watch.”

So take heart, Apple Watch fans — the wait for your device probably won’t be as long as you think.
