We’re nearly there, Walking Dead fans, your favorite AMC zombie shows returns to TV in just a couple of short weeks. I won’t blame you if didn’t like everything in the first half of the season, but we can always hope AMC will fix it in the following eight episodes. Until we actually get to see how Rick and friends will fight Negan, here’s a new trailer for episode 9.

Don’t expect any huge revelations just yet. In fact, this 30-second trailer might be new, but it tells the same general story. Rick wants to take a stand against Negan, but he knows the Alexandria people can’t do it alone. They’re outnumbered and outgunned — in fact, they hardly have any guns or bullets.

We already know that fighting back will be the theme for the second half of the season (here’s the full synopsis), we just don’t know how Rick will pull it off, especially considering Negan’s strength and the unwillingness of the other parties to confront him in open war.

But Rick needs to join forces with the Hilltop and the Kingdom. The trailer does show more footage from upcoming episodes, with Rick doing the voiceover speech that we’ve heard before. Together, they’re going to win, he says. We see Rick meeting Ezekiel, something that’s probably happening soon, and we see him holding a certain gun in his hand.

The Walking Dead’s mid-season premiere (episode 9) airs on February 12 on AMC.
