Daniel Craig might not be a huge James Bond fan anymore considering some of his comments during the Spectre interviews tour, but he might be a very big Star Wars fan. A new report indicates that Craig actually agreed to play a Stormtrooper in J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And since there are so many Stormtroopers in any Star Wars episode, it must mean the Force is seriously strong with Craig to accept the cameo appearance.

As ScreenRant reports, Abrams is always loyal to his friends, long-time colleagues and crew, and that’s why Simon Pegg got a little role as an alien in Episode VII. And it’s Pegg who actually said first that Craig was going to play a Stormtrooper in Star Wars VII back in May. “I shouldn’t have said that,” he added at the time – during the London premiere for Man Up.
Speaking to EW in July, James Bond denied everything with the same candor we’ve seen in Bond interviews.
“Why would I ever bother doing something like that? F—ing hell! Pffft. Play an extra in another movie?” he asked rhetorically.
“Talk to Simon Pegg,” he went on. “He obviously knows way more than I do. He’s just jealous because he’s not in Star Wars. He’s got some issue with J.J. I don’t know what the f— it is. You need to talk to Simon about it.”
However, it turns out that Craig did play a Stormtrooper in the new movie. If you really want to know which First Order soldier is played by Craig, you should read EW’s scoop, which will tell you what Craig’s role is and when he can be spotted on the screen.
