Nintendo Switch will be back in stock at GameStop today

Nintendo Switch: Where to buy

As expected, the Nintendo Switch has been hard to find in its first weeks on the market. Most stores quickly sold out in the United States and around the world on March 3rd, but last week, GameStop announced that its stock would be partially replenished on Wednesday, March 22nd. If you haven’t gotten your hands on a Switch yet, but still desperately want one, you might want to start calling GameStop stores in your area.

Unlike launch day, there’s no way to preorder or reserve the Nintendo Switch consoles that will be arriving at GameStop stores around the country on Wednesday. In order to buy one, you have to physically walk into the store, hope that they haven’t sold out yet and pay in full for your Nintendo Switch on the spot.

Also worth noting: you can’t order any of these consoles from GameStop’s website. GameStop has been selling bundles through its online store, but these standard Switch boxes will only be available in store.

As you can see from the image at the top of this post, GameStop is also hosting a limited time trade-in event that started on Monday, March 20th and will last through Sunday, March 26th. You can receive $150 of store credit for trading in a 3DS or a Wii U, $175 for an Xbox One or $200 for a PlayStation 4.

If you arrive at your GameStop early enough, you have a legitimate shot of walking out with a Switch on Wednesday. On the other hand, if GameStop is receiving Nintendo Switch consoles this week, other retailers might be receiving them as well. Be sure to keep an eye on these Amazon links:
