Donald Trump and his supporters have a lot to be excited about today. Not only did the real estate mogul sweep the New Hampshire primary without breaking a sweat, but to cap it all off, Funny or Die released a near feature-length film about the controversial candidate, starring Johnny Depp in the title role.
Wait… what?
DON’T MISS: The hilarious final chapter of Tim Cook’s humiliating blurry Super Bowl photo saga
Out of nowhere on Wednesday morning, Funny or Die published a 50-minute video entitled Donald Trump’s The Art Of The Deal: The Movie. According to “director and film preservationist” Ron Howard, the made-for-TV movie was originally set to air after a football game, but Trump forbade it after the game ended in a pathetic score of 4-2.
The movie was thought to be lost to time, but Howard says he stumbled upon it at a yard sale last summer and wrested it from the hands of “a nice woman named Jenny.”
Although Johnny Depp’s involvement is certain to be the highlight of this bizarre project, he’s not the only celebrity attached to the parody. Alfred Molina, Patton Oswalt, Henry Winkler, Christopher Lloyd, Kristen Schaal, Andy Richter and even Alf all appear in the film as well. A genuinely star-studded cast for something that no one had heard of until Wednesday.
We haven’t had a chance to watch the whole thing yet, but you can see the trailer below and watch the full movie at Funny or Die:
